WW-II Combat Sound effects...
22 years ago producer Brian Matthews went to a well-known London sound archive to procure a Stuka sound effect for a World War Two 
documentary he was producing only to be presented with an audio cassette of somebody blowing through a comb and paper!! Not very convincing, to say the least!
Leaving the shame-faced archive in rather a hurry, (and without his Stuka effect!), Brian set about building up his own genuine combat sound archive and after 20 years of patient gathering of effects, has now released his collection of 75 individual, multiple and scenario WW-II combat SFX on a single 50 minute CD, (complete with pull-out, timed index), entitled Sounds of War.
Digitally re-mastered via Cedar Processing Sounds of War boasts WW-II aircraft engines, single rifle shots, machine guns, flamethrowers, mortar blasts, stick grenade explosions, armoured vehicles, mutliple gun barrages etc and is available to professionals either off the Tomahawk Films rate card or on a straight buy-out at £99 (pounds-sterling).
